Happy New Year 2011!

This is my first post of 2011. I still can't believe 2010 is already come and gone.  WOW! Where did it go!

I'm already working on Valentine's Day items for my other shop and helping my mother with items in her bridal shop.  The holidays are over and Bridal Season is about to go into full swing.  

I'm also working on updating my listings in both of my Mischyfpaws shops on Etsy and Art fire. Since Art fire has a monthly fee and I can list how ever much I want, I will be listing more in my Art fire store then my Etsy store.  Art fire also allows buyers to come and buy from shops without joining Art fire.  I think that policy might bring in more customers from the outside world.  Both Etsy and Art fire are wonderful companies to work with. They each are setup differently to attract customers. I'm already going through and trying to figure out what new items I want to bring to my store. There will be more updates to come on Mischyfpaws stores in the future.

Certified Handmade

Yeah! I received my certified Handmade widget for Artfire today. I love it.
My Artfire shop Mischyfpaws.artfire.com products were reviewed and acknowledged as being handmade. It is a wonderful honor to get this award. What a boost to my self-esteem on a day of being so low with no sells.

A Doggies Christmas Song!

I found this widget today and just had to post it. It reminded me so much of my first dog and his first christmas. He just couldn't figure out why we brought a tree into the house. =)

A dog breed called Maltipoo

With all of the mix breeds out it is hard to keep up with them all. Until recently I didn't know about a mix breed called Maltipoo. It is a cross between a Maltese and a Poodle. I completed an order for a customer with a black Maltipoo. Here is an embroidered picture of the breed

Blogging???

I feel I am lost in the world of blogs. I am new to blogging and I am still trying to figure out what I am doing. There are so many ways to blog and so many topics out there to blog about. I sit here and wonder do I want my blog to be all about dogs, about personal stuff, life, stories I've read, what inspires me, WHAT? I come and look at my blog every week then wonder what am I going to write about. I usually end up putting it off until tomorrow, hoping for something to present itself to write about. This week I decided to write this blog of the unknown blog.

Smaller Leash Bags Are Here

Chow Chow

I wanted to add a smaller leash bag to my product line. This is my version of the attachable leash bag. The new bag measures 7x4 and has fabric ties to tie onto the handle or strap of the leash. I elected not to use metal clips to keep the price down. The absence of the metal clip also makes it easier to throw in the washer or dryer to clean.

Border Terrier

You can stuff the plastic bags inside the leash bag and they will not fall out. This allows you to be able to pull one bag out at a time.

The leash bag can be embroidered with many of the dog designs offered in my shop.

I know I know, it isn't Christmas Yet! 

Welcome to Christmas in July!

This is my first item I am releasing for my up and coming Christmas season. Last year I was caught off gard and this year I want to get a jump on things.

I hand crafted this Christmas Stocking out of polyester felt so it can be hand washed and dried. The top white is made of plush white felt to give it a fur like quality. This stocking is offered in a variety of colors and dog breeds.

We currently offer 102 embroidery dog designs of 96 different dog breeds. Please check out the different breeds we offer in the shop.

Christmas stocking is currently displayed in purple and white with a red Chow Chow dog design.

Meet President Obama Family Dog - BO

Look at this cute little guy. He is a black and white Portuguese Water Dog. This particular dogs name is Amigo’s New Hope aka Bo. Bo Obama to be exact. He is the Presidential family dog otherwise known as “The First Dog”. Bo was a gift from Senator Edward Kennedy to President Obama’s daughters Malia and Sasha. Bo became part of the Obama family on March 15, 2009.

Since Bo has entered the White House and has taken on his new title "The First Dog", the Portuguese Water Dog Breed has had a surge in popularity since the breed’s introduction to the U.S. in the late 1960’s.

Portuguese Water Dogs make a wonderful energetic family pet. They are classified as a working dog. They enjoy being given jobs to do that demonstrate their intelligence, strength and stamina. “Porties” as they are also known as a breed that sheds less fur than an average breed dog. This has miss lead some to believe it is a hypoallergenic breed.

As with all breeds, please research the breed to see if it is a good match for your family before bringing one home to your family.

Store Update II

There were two new breeds introduced to the shop last week. The first is a SilkyTerrier. This is a black, brown and off-white dog, I am releasing this breed on a gray colored walking bag. The gray is a good contrast for this breed.

Second breed introduced is the Wirehaired Fox Terrier. The Wirehaired Fox Terrier has various colors of brown, black, tan and white. This was breed is offered on a gray walking bag to bring out the best of the coloring within the breed.

Both breeds are offered as paw towels with many color selections of terry cloth. We offer white, ivory, pink, light blue, turquoise and lavender.

This brings my list of dog breeds to a total of 91.  Wow!!!

The Puppy Has Arrived

Mischyfpaws is proud to be introducing our first puppy embroidery design. I have added a cute little Yorkshire Terrier Puppy with a ball design. I came across this design and thought he was absolutely adorable and I just had to have him. I selected him to be my first puppy design offered in Mischyfpaws.  This design is currently being offered as paw towels and walking bags. I will be introducing more puppies to come in the future, so keep an eye out!

Store Update

 Introducing to Mischyfpaws are two new colors in terry cloth. For a limited time Mischyfpaws will be offering the colors turquoise and lavender. These colors will be added to white, ivory, pink and light blue that we currently offer in our bath and paw towels.

This week I released three new designs of current breeds being offered. I have added a second Pug and Schnauzer designs. These designs are currently being offered as paw towels and walking bags.
